Helping the people of Ghana improve their communities through changes that promote justice and self-sustenance.
Titus Project
Bringing hope and change to an impoverished urban community, Chorkor, through establishing a community center that includes a school, clinic, church and hospital.
Chorkor is a traditional fishing village in one of the most densely populated communities in the Accra Metropolis Area. It lies within Accra's poverty pockets, which are characterized by people who lack information, power and resources and are often excluded from development intervention.
From 2013-2016 OptioVillage obtained the legal documentation and permits needed to purchase and start building on the land. Dates and Phases
Deliverance school
2017
In May the school was severely damaged by a storm. Due to the age of the building and damage sustained, we determined that the best way forward was to tear it down and rebuild it with sturdy footings and weather-resistant materials.
Footings and foundation were set, walls and roof trusses were erected.
2018
Roof was completed and funding secured for next phase.
July: Doors and security windows will be installed, and interior rooms will be built.
August: Founder and Executive Director, Trenton Peterson, will be traveling to Chorkor.
